The Inevitable Road All Must Follow:
Life…. Death….Then Eternity
From the moment we are born, we are initiated into a temporary existence known as life—an experience framed by a beginning and an end, woven inseparably into the flow of time itself.
Whether there is an experience after life or there is nothingness, the simple reality is this: the time we spend in life is not even measurable against the time we do not. So, what is truly real?
But facts are facts: eternity is not a distant theory… It’s a certainty. And no matter where we are on our life journey… young or old, searching or settled… each of us will one day come face-to-face with that reality. There’s no escaping it.
Time in life is not even measurable to the time after.
AND FACE IT WE MUST!!
A thousand years ago, a little boy watched an old man pass by—stooped, fragile, and weathered by life. He wondered what it must feel like to carry so many years, but the thought soon faded. Ahead of him stretched what felt like an endless lifetime, rich with possibilities yet to be lived.
Decades later, that same boy had built on intimate relationships, forged memories, and felt the rhythm of countless seasons pass him by. In time, he became that old man. Yet now, even that full lifetime has faded into the dust of a thousand years… with no memory or acknowledgement of who he ever was.
And so it is for all who ever draw breath—those who ever lived, those living now, and those yet to live will all share in the same inevitable fate…. the end of life and then…. THE ETERNAL UNKNOWN.
Those who lived a thousand years ago experienced childhood through old age and for a thousand years are no more
One thousand or one hundred years ago….the same will occur over and over again
Well into the future….All yet to experience the journey of life will also face the inevitable end.
And that realization brings us to the very heart of this book: not only to explore the meaning of life, but how it’s connected to the reality of the forever that comes after….
But what is forever? We know our bodies turn to dust, and the individuality that defines us—our thoughts, emotions, identity… fades away into that unknown forever.
LEADING TO ONLY TWO POSSIBILITIES
THERE IS NOTHING
THERE IS SOMETHING
If there is an ongoing existence after the end of life then, it will be of a spiritual nature.
Upon death, the body fades away leaving us with an eternal unknown….our eternal fate.
THE TRUE MEANING OF LIFE
What We Do Here Impacts What Happens There
At the end, every worldly pleasure, every ounce of wealth, and every trace of who we once were will fade into nothingness. If there is something beyond this life, it will not be of flesh and bone, nor will it rely on eyes to see, ears to hear, or a brain to understand. It will be a perception unlike anything imaginable.
Whatever form we take, the real question remains: When your spiritual eyes open… what will you see?
Will you behold a beautiful, eternal existence—or step into a journey of unending regret? Regret in life can be mended, but regret in eternity is a consequence without end.
